Campaign Profile:
The Tourism Malaysia Promotion Board teamed up with China Airlines and travel agents on a promotional campaign to get more Taiwanese interested in visiting Malaysia. The main destinations highlighted were Kuala Lumpur and Penang. The goal was to use ticket sales and special package tours to create a buzz in Taiwan and inspire local consumers to give Malaysia a try.
Campaign Features:
Highlighting the major attractions in Kuala Lumpur and Penang, the campaign adopted a slogan of “Great Time in Malaysia, Fly Direct to Twin Cities and Check In!” and packaged the two cities’ food and distinctive features to draw consumers to Malaysia over the summer.
In terms of advertising and promotions, four separate online prize draws were organized to interact with consumers, and Tik Tok videos by a key opinion leader were used to expand social media exposure and reach more target customers to maximize the campaign’s impact.
